about

Sonatas (2017-18) is a series of twelve pieces for electronic sounds. The pieces are made exclusively from synthesized sound and aim to translate instrumental gesture into the electronic medium. The historically charged meaning of the term Sonata is denoting here not only the dialectical relationship between multiple sound parameters, and between different perceived sound sources simulated through virtual gestures but also between sound and silence.
