about

Oriental Resonant Networks is a series of pieces inspired by a set of digital drawings. Both the drawings and the musical pieces are influenced by islamic art, sacred geometry, surrealistic painting techniques and montage theory.

A wide range of synthesized sounds, natural/signalling sounds and improvised instrumental recording pass through a series of temporal automatic processes that generate simple stochastic and indeterminate sound networks. The networks, that are defined basically by the dialectic relationship between symmetry/repetition and chaos/randomness, are filtered through the apprehension of sound patterns and ''geometries'' in musical space that are then artificially "enforced" on the networks and lead to surrealistic but concrete montage narratives.
